A long weekend

It was a long weekend and I am glad it's over. It was pagan unity fest a gathering along the lines of pagan pride but not actually affiliatiated with them. I was following the preparations on their facebook page and asked a few questions regarding the diversity of the speakers and workshops. Unfortunately the responses were a tad frosty and a little offended by the question. Sadly this not unexpected as the local Wiccan council, Covenant Of the Goddess, representative was the one answering my query. It rather turned me off to the event but I was going to wait to see the whole event schedule. They published it a week ago and it held v little of interest, so I decided not to go. Unfortunately my decision was not well received by certain parties who seemed to take offence at it. I don't understand why people get upset when I voice my opinions, its like they are only happy if I am agreeing with them or keeping my views silent. I was polite about it all but I guess people don't like to be challenged...
